When and where will I pick up my (or my child’s) race packet?
Please register as soon as possible and plan to pick up your packet(s) on Wednesday, June 6 or Thursday, June 7, at Packet Pick-up at The LeaderShop, 4903 S. Willow Springs Rd, La Grange.

Although race-day (Friday June 8) packet pick-up is also available starting at 2:00 PM at the LT North Practice Field, you must pick up your packet at least 30 minutes before your race. The LT North Practice Field is located on Cossitt Avenue, just east of Gilbert Ave, in La Grange. NO packets will be available for pick up less than 30 minutes before each race.

What will be in my race packet?
Your packet will consist of your shirt (for the first 1,000 registered participants), your bib and safety pins. All other promotional items and discount coupons can be found in our virtual goodie bag.

Can someone else pick up my packet for me?
Yes. You will receive a confirmation email once you register. This email will contain all the necessary information for packet pick-up. Please give a copy of this confirmation to the person who will pick up your packet(s). No packet will be released without the necessary information.

I registered but now I can’t participate in my event. Can I get a refund?
The “La Grange Rocks” 5K is one of The LeaderShop’s largest fundraising events each year, and we are very grateful for the support of all sponsors and participants. Like most fundraising events, there are significant costs to staging this 5K. For these reasons we cannot issue registration refunds or transfers.

I registered but now I can’t participate. Can I still get my packet?
Yes. Your packet will be available to pick up for two weeks after the event at The LeaderShop, 4903 Willow Springs Road, La Grange

I can’t run, can I give my entry to someone else?
No. Because of the unique B-Tag on the back of each bib, every entrant must have his or her unique bib.

I have a friend who would like to volunteer, can they help?

Where are the port-o-potties located?
They will be at the start/finish area, mainly in the LT North field near the food and sponsor tents.

Is there a course time limit?
Once the 5K begins, participants should strive to reach the finish line within 56 minutes. This pace is about 18 minutes per mile for 3.1 miles, a comfortable walk. After more than 56 minutes, the event organizers cannot guarantee support for participants: Medical staff, portable toilets and road closures may no longer be available to participants. 56 minutes after the 5K begins, local police and race organizers will ask remaining participants to either move onto the sidewalk or may offer them a car ride to a point closer to the finish line.

Will there be a gear check?
Yes. Gear check will be available race day to all registered participants from 5:15 PM to 8:30 PM. The LeaderShop is not responsible for lost, damaged or misplaced items. Please be sure to mark your bag before leaving it at gear check.

Bags may be left at the official gear check tent ONLY. Unattended bags will be immediately removed from the premises and discarded.

How will 5K participants be timed?
The race will be timed using B-Tag technology. All registered runners will pick up their B-Tag at packet pick-up.

Are strollers allowed?
Yes, but all strollers must start at the back of the pack at the start line. Your timing will not begin until you have crossed the start line.

Are baby carriers or baby backpacks allowed?

May I run my dog “on leash” in the race?

Is there an age maximum or minimum for the 5K?
No, but we ask that you please use your best judgment. There are races available for younger kids before the 5K.

Is the race open to walkers?
Yes. As long as they maintain the course time limit of 15 minutes per mile or faster. We ask that walkers line up at the back of the start line.
