When and where will I pick up my race packet?
All registered participants should plan to pick up their packets on Wednesday June 7 or Thursday June 8, 12 noon to 7:00 PM, at The LeaderShop, 4903 Willow Springs Road, La Grange.
Race Day (Friday June 9) packet pick-up is also available from 2:00 to 5:45 PM at Lyons Township Field located on Cossitt Avenue, just east of Gilbert/Willow Springs Road, in La Grange. NO packets will be available for pick up after 5:45 PM!
What will be in my race packet?
Your packet will consist of your shirt (for the first 1,000 registered participants), your bib and safety pins. All other promotional items and discount coupons can be found in our virtual goodie bag.
Can someone else pick up my packet for me?
Yes. You will receive a confirmation email once you register. This email will contain all the necessary information for packet pick-up. Please send a written note and a copy of this confirmation along with the person who will be retrieving your packet. No packet will be released without the necessary information.
Is there a course time limit?
Please note that a 15-minute mile pace or faster is required. This pace is roughly four miles per hour, equivalent to a very brisk walk. If you fall below this pace, the race organizers can no longer guarantee course support. Medical support, portable toilets and road closures will begin to become unavailable to participants. The local police and race organizers will ask you to either move onto the sidewalk or require you to be transported further up on the course to catch up to the 15-minute-per-mile group.
Will there be a gear check?
Yes, but we encourage you to bring as little as possible with you on race day. Gear check will be available race day to all registered participants from 6pm to 8:30pm. Gear check bags much be 12″ x 8″ or smaller. The LeaderShop is not responsible for lost, damaged or misplaced items. Please be sure to mark your bag before leaving it at gear check.
Bags may be left at the official gear check tent ONLY. Unattended bags will be immediately removed from the premises and discarded.
